About this Speaker

Zach attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he studied Finance and took level 3 calculus for fun. However, it was his intro psychology course in his first year that sparked his passion for teaching and Socratic method. He went on to tutor psychology during undergrad, and later teach professional development courses at Code Tenderloin in San Francisco. 

Education and sales felt no different for Zach. He joined LinkedIn’s sales rotation program in July 2015, shortly after graduation. Empathy for students matters to be an effective teacher. This approach also applies to sales. For the next five years, Zach refined his clients-first mentality in sales. 

He made the pivot to product marketing in 2020. Today, he is a product marketing manager at Dropbox, where he supports their sales play program. Similar to teaching, Zach’s focus to help sales reps be more effective motivated this career transition. Sales sits closest to customers. When our reps win, our customers and business win too.
